Vedas are the source of teachings of Vedic ideology. When Maharshi Dayanand wanted to translate Vedas, before that, he considered mandatory to setup the standard principles of Vedas. Maharshi, with this aim in front, embarked on the 'Rigvedadibhashyabhumika'. In other words, we can say that the Maharshi Dayanand gave us 'Rigvedadibhashyabhumika' as the key to decode the meaning of the Vedas. Therefore, he said that it is mandatory for the one who takes Vedabhashya in his life to take 'Rigvedadibhasibhumika' together.
वैदिक विचारधारा की शिक्षाओं का स्रोत वेद ही है| महर्षि दयानंद ने जब वेदों का भाष्य करना चाहा तो उससे पहले, वेद के मानक सिद्धान्तों का प्रतिपादन करना अनिवार्य समझा| महर्षि ने इस उद्देश्य को सामने रखते हुए 'ऋग्वेदादिभाष्यभूमिका' का प्रणयन किया. दुसरे शब्दों में हम कह सकते हैं ऋषि दयानन्द ने वेदों के अर्थ रूपी ताले को खोलने के लिए हमें कुंजी रूप में 'ऋग्वेदादिभाष्यभूमिका' प्रदान की| इसलिए ऋषि ने अपने जीवन में वेदभाष्य लेने वाले के लिए 'ऋग्वेदादिभाष्यभूमिका' साथ में लेने को अनिवार्य बताया।
